About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
The Mid-South region, particularly Memphis and surrounding Shelby County, has been identified as a hotspot for HIV infections in the US, with rates over twice as high as other regions. In response, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital established a program in 1987 to provide comprehensive medical and behavioral health care to children and youth living with HIV at no charge.
